INSPIRED BY PARIS, I HONED MY CULINARY SKILLS FOR YEARS

I didn’t just learn how to bake. I mastered the art of presentation and delighting people with food.

I started in a “from-scratch” bakery and made everything. From cookies, muffins, and scones to bread, cakes, pies, brownies, and wedding & specialty cakes. Everything I created was fresh, never frozen, which helped me understand the difference in quality of prepackaged versus fresh desserts and how customers responded to fresh basked goods better.

Later, I enjoyed my time learning how to bake Italian and French pastries from top New York chefs. During this awesome experience, I didn’t just learn how to bake. I mastered the art of presentation and delighting people with food.

I HAVE HAD A PASSION FOR BAKING SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL

My love for baking began when I used to watch my aunt in the kitchen.

A sweet aroma would fill our house in Washington DC as I watched my Aunt Eva put a little of this and little of that into her batter. Then, voila! Sitting before me would be her awesome spoon bread, yellow cake with chocolate icing or apple pie.

I always knew that if she could quickly bake something so delicious, then when I get older, I would do the same. Just by watching her, I gained valuable experience to one day bake just as good, if not better, than her.

I kept her recipes and love for baking locked away in my heart and mind until I get a older and was able to make her recipes my own.

Whether it’s a flaky buttery croissant, a chocolate almond cake or lemon raspberry cheesecake, I believe desserts speak for themselves. With every aroma coming from the oven or love at first dessert sighting, your palette is prepared for the best.

The best is what I serve up at Finesse the Flour Bakery. Food is a conversation starter and desserts top off the day, being the last thing your people will remember about their time with you. From the start to the end of your event, day or special occasion, I want my baked goods to be enjoyed with good conversation. I want my desserts to enhance your meal and memories.

I want my desserts on your table or in your office if you want something different and amazing, yet don’t have the desire or skill to create it yourself. Instead of a store-bought dessert, try a fresh from-scratch dessert from Finesse the Flour Bakery.

Baking from scratch is like painting on a blank canvas. Taking your thoughts and creativity to the canvas, you add splashes of color, technique, and finishing to the painting. After you’re done, you have a work of art, something beautiful to share with others, so they can experience the joy of your artistry. That’s how I feel about finessing the flour. Baking is more than the food, but the emotion of savory delights & surprises.
